Um I think you posted the wrong code the one you posted does an
(approx) 10 second delay (180 ticks) (from looking at the code)
and from testing it works fine. (182 ticks would be closer to 10 secs)
To detect change-of-hour test for either
   transition from ffff to 0000 in word 0000:046c
   or a change in byte 0000:0046f  (preferred)
You should probably call int 28 (dos idle) while in these loops to
have you application "multitasker aware" it only costs 2 bytes ;-)
