Police go through a lot of formal traing and practice before hitting street 
as a rule and rapidly become Professional in their miles
In 20 years I was in 1 collission and probably logged one milluion miles on 
th road on and off duty. Few PRO race car drivers would take the risks  you 
do and if they did and were caught would have ticket pulled. If you perceive 
that any badge would allow you to participate in tunnel drags you are dead 
wrong.\
BTW I have been cited for speeding +12 on a rural Interstate. I was not happy 
but I was ticket at $117.50 and earned 3 points. I gave civilians 10 over
people with your attitude got zero breaks and a thorough vehicle inspection
