  The $100 Worldwide PC for every child project had to take this condition
into account - there is a button dedicated to restoring from all possible
screwups.   There may be some cases where they cannot preserve the user
data.  This encourages kids to be kids and freely play with it since they
cannot damage the software or configuration.
