Williams at Magny Cours

(16-Oct-98) - While Ferrari tested at Mugello and the other teams either
opted for Circuit de Catalunya near Barcelona or Silverstone, Williams
choose the quiet Magny Cours to work privately on setting up the car and
developing tyres for Goodyear in preparation for the final Grand Prix in
Japan.

The team did not release any laptimes of the three days. Heinz-Harald
Frentzen drove a FW20 on Monday and up to Tuesday lunchtime after which
Juan Pablo Montoya continued through to the end of Wednesday. Like most
teams, Williams will be at Silverstone next week for the final tests and
shakedown before shipping their cars and equipment to Suzuka. Max Wilson is
provisionally scheduled to drive on Monday and Jacques Villeneuve on
Tuesday at this test.
