hey
wuz up James?
I am not at all familiar with the area your are from being Canadian, but I
would assume that either the AA or NA phone number should be listed in the
phone book. You might have to go to a couple AA meeting to find someone who
also attends NA and who can tell you. If there is no NA in your area you may
have to go to a few AA meetings till you can find someone to start NA with!
Don't give up if there is no NA. When I was first in recovery there
was no NA in my area and the closest person to my age was about 12 years
older to me. I stuck around the doors of AA for 3 years and eventually there
was another person interested. THe reason it took so long is that I really
grew to love AA and I still attend the meetings. I have never had any problem
with sharing my history with drug abuse and I know that I am as addicted to
alcohol as I am to drugs as I can be to pretty much anything that will take
me away from my pains.
Just remember that you are not alone, that there are many people who
struggle everyday with the diesease of addiction and who manage to get
through it one day at a time. I am off today for a week of fishing in
Northern Ontario. I will say a few prayers for you.
