Wellllllll we loped (sort of) tonight.. got her started.. then had to go back
and re-enforce the walk/trot cues.. since all she wanted to do after is trot
or attempt a lope... chuckle.. I lost tract of time tonight.. I was on her
for at least an hour.. I really did push it a little to much tonight.. since
the weather is starting to cool and she's in a roaring heat... but she's so
easy to work with I just lost tract of time, and we really weren't working
all of that.
The lope was no more then about 6-10 strides either way... got to give her
some time to work up to it. That's what I had to do with the trot and it was
easier for her this way. More to come. ;)
She's getting in shape.. and I'm going to have to start lunging her again
before riding her! ;)
I turned her out today before the ride.. man was that kid sassy! A gal
standing by the fench when she came over to visit shoo'ed Tush.. and Tush
darn near got her rear feet over the fench just close enough to kick the
gal.. I told her that this is a young horse and they are unpredictable.. and
that was a REALLY good way to get kicked.
