Well Troy not sure about the burn out. But I have had my PRO-2004 for about
10 years now and it is also constantly backlit. Mine is on for 10 to 15
hours per day, sometimes 24 hours a day. but it has never burnt out, faded
or anything else. In fact, after all this time, mine has only suffered 2
problems. One being my kids. My 2 year old shortly after I got it rammed a
pencil into the speaker so now I must use an external. the only other
problem is a slight crack in the display crystal from being dropped. other
than that I have never had a problem.
