If you mean birth INDEX/INDICES, then, yes, you can see them in Dallas. I
have
used them (the original, bound volumes) in Austin at the State Archive
building; and, at the Ft Worth downtown Public Library in the genealogy dept.
(on microfiche)I am sure that Dallas' public library would offer them on
microfiche, too.
I used the data in the index to determine my actual name at birth. I took the
BC # and matched it up with the same number in the index. It showed my
birthname. From that, I began my search in earnest. Too bad all states don't
have this option available.
