i also had problems just importing files via pointing it to a directory; i
think this issue is something that needs to be looked at.

  i would like to point it at a directory, and have it create the file areas ,
spaces or not in the name (in my case it's bbs.mods,etc) , but things arent
working well.  it would also be nice to import sub dirs within directories.
  i have to manually create the areas to make sure things are
setup correctly.
