There will be a large economic boom, the silver lining in this dark cloud. 
Lots of employment for those who would like to get dirty from work.

After Hugo we had Amish come here to remove timber from the national forest
because they could do it with horses.  We also had some unsavory characters
who came to suck the blood from the unfortunate ones, I suspect it will be
worse in the, uh, environment in NO.  But by and large people looked out
for each other and I can't recall anyone shooting at those coming to assist
in helicopters.

Just think of all that has to be done and the money that is headed that
way...what's that I hear...opportunity in adversity....
