I'm in the middle of trying to get a car; I can't afford to keep the truck on
the road. It's just got too many problems. Right now it *REALLY* needs a
transmission (won't hold 3rd gear below 50 MPH), and it also needs a heater
core, steering box, and pretty much the whole suspension in the rear is shot
(throw 500 pounds in the bed and it bottoms it out). Smaller things are a
bent tie rod, front springs, hinges on the passenger door, some engine
gaskets, and lifters.
I'd love to park it, save up the money, and restore it. But it's going to be
YEARS before I can do that, and my apartment managers won't let me do that
(they'll tow any car that sits more than a couple of weeks, and if it has
expired registration, it's gone as soon as they see it).
I'm still driving the truck daily, but only to work and back right now.
Can't
chance the tranny dying on me..
