weeellllll... I usually do. I know a guy behind the ACDelco parts counter.
The only thing I have to do is find out the part numbers if I'm after
something not covered by ACDelco.  The dealerships don't like giving out
part numbers to them since they know they'll be used to bypass dealer
overhead, so I end up being one of those customers that browse/question more
than buy. In the end, the parts come from the same warehouse in this region.
Though, I do have to say that "procure from dealer only" parts are at least
reasonably priced at the dealer. But then, I only need my two hands to count
all the parts I've had to purchase from the dealer. =)
