Well, obviously I believe that if I had all the resources in the world
available to me, I would win a court trial. Why? Because I know I'm telling
the
truth, and some forensics experiment would show it. However, because it is
basically my word against two cops, and that's it, no physical evidence, and
because it was just a minor offense (not murder or anything), it really isn't
worth the risk of losing. And that's me, with a Copwatch-affiliated attorney
who was offering a discount to me. Now imagine how much harrassment goes
completely unreported because of the same reasons. Throw in people's general
lack of faith in our justice system, and maybe you'll begin to see why the
'official' reports don't tell the whole story.
