LR> engine warmed up, it wasn't ordinary steam from condensation in the
LR> mufflers it was alot more out one side than the other.
AM> That might be caused by the thermostatic control on the passenger side
LR> That is true I hadn't thought of that. It also does that if I ad
LR> water while the engine is running.
AM> That doesn't sound good... My brother once got a Taurus real cheap
AM> that ran a small stream of water out of a hole in the muffler. We
AM> figured it had a cracked head and he took the head and got it pinned
AM> and welded. A few weeks later it overheated and started doing it
AM> again. Never cared much for Fords, or 4 cylinders.
I still havn't tried to figure out what is wrong with it. I just parked it
and had the insurance switched to my other vehicle. The first thing I'm going
to do is a compression check to see if it is blown head gasket. If that
isn't it I will look else where. I am problably going to pull the heads
anyway just to make sure there are no cracks on the underside of the heads
and ora cracked cylendar wall. It seems to have a lot of power even though
the oil is now brown/white but it is staying parked anyway until it is fixed.
Every car has its problems (good and bad) too much horse power can be
considered a problem if you live in the middle of a big city. I own both a
Chevy and Ford while one has easy to remove valve covers and other has an
easy to remove water pump. :)

Landon
