Which then brings up the question -- why are we being deluged with dozens
of commentaries from months and months ago? I'm all for the occasional
posting of a column, but Evad Seltzer seems to be going overboard. I'd
almost call it spamming, but at least it's on topic.

It'd be a shame if he was posting this without permission of the authors,
though, since that's a violation of their intellectual property rights. :)
