Hi, Karen!
KW> A fellow I chat with daily has a theory.. a connection
KW> between spring time and women wanting to paint (walls, etc,..)
BD> I agree with him! Then, too, there's the matter of full moons, idle
BD> time, and general male bashing..
KW> Full moons I understand, but what the heck is idle time (unless
KW> you count time spent talking to the likes of you)? :)
LOL! Idle time is neutral. It's "wasted time" you must me thinking
about! When I type here it isn't always with the conscious awareness
it might always be taken seriously!
KW> As for male bashing.....I'm more likely to female bash. All my best
KW> friends have been male.
Like this, for example!
My remark was intended to be good natured teasing, all the way.
Forgive me for making it sound like a feud was taking place. ;^)
BD> All this can summed up neatly with a Dagwood phrase: "Husbands are
BD> a sorry lot!"
KW> Then why does my husband always tell about to be bridegrooms
KW> that it was the best thing he ever did?
Now, without thinking, I'd have said something like, "Brownie Points?"
See what I mean?
KW> assuming of course that it is he who will do all the actual
BD> painting before you `let him' turn up the earth..
KW> Wow. You just live in a different world, Bob.
That, too, was not in the least serious though I've always been in
a "different world," or so I hear! Hehhehheh
BD> Money makes the world go 'round, alright.
KW> Most of the things I do, I don't start out doing for money.
Not taking issue with your reply, which I found interesting, but
the basis of the world today seems more founded upon money than
anything else.
KW> I wrote a correspondent column on a volunteer basis, but someone
KW> [asked] ask me to write a weekly column.. and pay me.
Gotcha!
KW> I volunteered [as].. co-ordinator for the karate club, since
KW> I liked what I saw happening there.. the teacher [moved and]
WK> gave me the class [though] I wasn't.. the most advanced student.
WK> I do things for fun, and the money comes later.
Understood!
I'm not "up" on current disciplines, by any means, but have an
idea what you are doing. It fell my lot to do some hand to hand
training during the Korean period, on Marine troop replacements,
and later got involved in Aikido(?) thru a local friend who was
stationed at Barksdale AFB (across the river from Shreveport)..
KW> .. My son did ask me a couple of times to leave him out of it
BD> Don't listen! Who'd Irma Bombeck(?) be.. if she.. chickened
BD> out.. because the shoe was too tight? (No doubt the shoe fit!)
KW> My husband ended up in one of them too. Not my fault he decided
KW> to fix the plumbing on a Sunday.. that's what happens when you
KW> let the wrong kind of professional do the job :)
ROTFLOL
BD> And the world would be cheated out of a budding novelist?
KW> Ah, the novel. It's in the drawer :)
Knew it!!! ;^) So, do some pictures to supplement the novel and go
for it!
