Hell, it's DARK down here Jim!  We can't see them li'l brown boogers in
the dark!  If they'd let us set beartraps on the well beaten footpaths
we could just back a truck up and have 'em toss it in.
As it is the batteries run down in the geophones twice or three times
faster than they're supposed to because they're triggered to "TRANSMIT"
all the time!  Cows in the daytime, smugglers at night!  There's no rest
for the wicked.
When we had the Neptunes down here there wasn't enough weed moving to
roll a jailhouse joint. Those things scared the snot out of EVERYBODY,
not just the smugglers.  When that thing sneaks up on you and turns on
that three million candlepower light just as you're about to take a leak
on a sagebrush, it gets your ATTENTION!
