G'day David, Saturday February 08 1997 07:35, David Read wrote to Paul Edwards: DR> You actually *pay attention* to the preflight safety routine? DR> I once actually tried to find the jacket that was "under the seat in DR> front of you" .... must have been painted the same colour as the DR> seat :) Maybe they are all under the pilot's seat. I wondered that myself last time I looked for the jacket. The other worry is when flying in USA over absolutely NO water at all, they tell you that the seat can be used as floatation device. I had a good laugh after my last flight.. I picked up a postcard that was a freebie, and showed the cockpit of the plane. Later, on close inspection, you can read the notice that's on the back of the pilot's seat: "ATTENTION! Seat must be in the forward and upright position for take offs and landings." (Or words to that effect). ROFL! I should HOPE so!
