Stewart boosted by test

(6-Oct-98) - Rubens Barrichello finished third fastest in tests at
Barcelona last week boosting confidence at Stewart Grand Prix.

Sources within the team say that a "breakthrough" has been made
with the car which has struggled this year with poor traction.

A new hydraulic differential was introduced during the tests and it is
believed that it has had a dramatic effect on the handling of the car.

Verstappen will continue to test the new unit at Silverstone next week.
Stewart's Formula 3 drivers, Mario Haberfeld and Luciano Burti, will test
the car this week whilst Verstappen recovers from an illness.

The team also suffered two failures with the new series 6 Ford V10 which
the team are hoping to race in Japan.
