Schumacher fastest in post Luxembourg test

(30-Sep-98) - Michael Schumacher set the fastest time in testing at
Barcelona yesterday, ahead of the McLaren of David Coulthard.

The double World Champion spent much of the day tyre testing after a race
that saw McLaren's Bridgestone rubber wear better than Ferrari's Goodyears.

David Coulthard set the second fastest time, over half a second slower than
Schumacher. The Williams of newly crowned F3000 star, Juan-Pablo Montoya,
was third fastest ahead of the Benetton of Giancarlo Fisichella.

Alex Zanardi, one half of Williams '99 driver line-up, was also testing for
the Grove based team and finished the day with the fifth fastest time ahead
of the Benetton of Alexander Wurz.
