That's what my son was.  Combat Engineers, but I forget the division and
the rest of that stuff.  At least when he was in the fleet Marines, he got
to go to foreign lands, but people tried to kill him and almost succeeded. 
I do recall him telling me in one of his letters that the scenery in Beirut
and surrounding area is beautiful.
