Replying to a message from JIM WELLER 1:123/140 to BJoeRN FORSSTRoeM,

About German tourists, On Sun Jun 22 2003

JW> Our only complaint is that *some* Germans tend to be under
JW> experienced, get into precarious situations in very remote areas and
JW> need expensive search and rescue operations.

That is also prevalent in my home area, Hinton AB, with Jasper close by,
some German and Japanese tourists disregard the signs telling people not to
do such and such as it will cause death, guess what they do it any way.
Athabasca Falls claims a minimum of two to three people per year. There
are plenty of signs in English, Japanese, German to name a few.

Sheesh!! Lets not get into talking about the tourists on the Alaska
Highway.. That is real scary.

Hope this helps. Keep us posted.

We are a fine board trying to make it better.
