Altitude between 3,000 and 7,000 feet. And of course, acclimatization was necessary. Air pressure there is much less than at -5ft and it is harder to breathe. High desert. Could get hot during the day and cold at night. The dryness of the air was more the problem there. Staying hydrated took some doing when you're used to a LOW humidity still being above 50% and what you're living and working in now ranges 15% to 20% when it's HIGH. Oh, we had snow on July 2. Had to have supplies airlifted in and couldn't get the horses off the mesa for 3 days. -> She will probably want missionaries `aclimated' to drive-by shootings in SC, -> so less of them either die or are hospitalized with bullet wounds! - I don't want to see anybody needlessly hurt or die. Especially when it's caused by recklessness...or underwear. --- Platinum Xpress/Win/WINServer v3.0pr5a* Origin: FidoTel & QWK on the Web! www.fidotel.com (1:124/311) SEEN-BY: 10/1 3 14/250 34/999 120/228 123/500 128/2 140/1 222/2 226/0 249/303 SEEN-BY: 250/306 261/20 38 100 1381 1404 1406 1418 266/1413 280/1027 320/119 SEEN-BY: 396/45 633/260 267 690/734 712/848 800/432 801/161 189 2222/700 SEEN-BY: 2320/100 105 2905/0 @PATH: 124/311 140/1 261/38 633/260 267 |
