The majority of funeral services are a Worship Service with a sermon given by
a Minister. The Holy Bible is usually the primary book used in this service.
It is also a Memorial Service for the deceased and compassion to the family,
but it is little different from a Church Service, thus the right to have the
service involving the Constitutional Concept of Freedom of Religion. That's
about the best answer I can give you. We may have a Constitutional scholar
lurking about who can give you a better answer.
