RS>I haven't seen any for a long time. RS>But they can be insistent, to the point of simply being horribly RS>obnoxious. Yesterday though, a Jehovah's Witness came to my door. RS>I said politely, "I'm sorry, not interested." RS>She politely said "Thank you, and God bless you." RS>and left. RS>I just wish more religions were like that. RS>When was the last time Jehovah's Witnesses tried to sneak through or cram RS>through, political bills? I got a question: Some time back you stated that you were sitting in a pew of a church during a minister's sermon, and at some point you got up, walked up to the pulpit, and in front of the entire congregation, you slapped him in the face, hard, and left! I asked you recently, and I ask you again now; What were you doing in a church to begin with? You certainly weren't using the laundermat facilities in the church basement, or waiting for a bus. Going `into' a church is a voluntary action. Nobody comes out of churches and just grabs people off the street, forces them into the church, and sits them down in a pew. At least not in America. You being `inside' the church to begin with is strange given your overall hostility to religion in general, and Christianity in particular. You had to be there for some reason. Did the congregation give you a `standing ovation' for slapping the minister? Or was the `standing ovation' in celebration of you leaving their presence? --- *Durango b301 #PE** Origin: Doc's Place BBS Fido Since 1991 docsplace.tzo.com (1:123/140) SEEN-BY: 10/1 3 14/250 34/999 120/228 123/500 128/2 140/1 222/2 226/0 249/303 SEEN-BY: 250/306 261/20 38 100 1381 1404 1406 1418 266/1413 280/1027 320/119 SEEN-BY: 396/45 633/260 267 690/734 712/848 800/432 801/161 189 2222/700 SEEN-BY: 2320/100 105 2905/0 @PATH: 123/140 500 261/38 633/260 267 |
