    I will say that talking "Union" in a non-union company can get you in hot 
water, so, be careful who you talk to.  Argueing with your manager about 
having a Union will probably get you the boot, but if the opportunity to 
collectively make conditions in your workplace better arise, take it.  IMHO, 
even if workers are loosely organized or in agreement about something, and 
stay united, a manager/owner will listen "better" than if done by one person.
