>>> Part 2 of 2...
for man's mean time, 0-hour is midnight and the 3rd hours would
be 3am, the 6th hour would be 6am, the 9th hour would be 9am,
12:00 noon would be 12am, 15:00 hours would be 3pm, 18:00 hours
would be 6pm, 21:00 hours would be 9pm and 24:00 or 0-hour would
be 12am or midnight, right? And none of it could ever line up
with the hours described in The Scriptures, correct? Yahshua
gave up the Ghost at "about" the ninth hour, which was about 3pm
by man's reckoning of time, but according to your reckoning of
mean time, the ninth hour would have been at about 9am in the
morning, which was when they crucified Him, correct?
CH> And we see here that the sixth hour is clearly 9am to 12 noon
> or midday! And the darkness lasted until the ninth hour, which
> could have been anywhere from midday to 3pm! Now it is plain
> to see that had it been night, it would, of necessity, had to
> have been dark the whole time and not just a part of the time!
JH> Please again, consider that the sixth hour is a literal hour and not a
JH> time span. The sixth hour is 12 noon. From 12 noon until 3 p.m.
JH> there was darkness, probably due to an eclipse. This was not night,
JH> but more a midnight in the middle of the day , an eclipse. On this
JH> we agree.
Heavens no brother Jerry, for the sixth hour can be either 12
noon or 12 midnight to the Hebrew, which is exactly why they had
the watches, etc., to distinguish of which part of day or night
one was speaking of, correct? And it is indeed a joy to agree with
you, however, it must be pointed out once again that any part of
the 60 minutes or 3,600 seconds would indeed be considered a
part of the sixth hour, correct? For one could say that he came
at exactly the sixth hour, or that he came at about the middle
of the sixth hour, or that he came at about the end of the sixth
hour, or he could even say that he came on or about the sixth
hour which could be during the fifth hour, could he not?
CH> Now, since most scholars say that He died at 3pm, rather than
> some time between midday and 3pm, do we see any reason to not
> accept this time since it does allow plenty of time between 3pm
> and 6pm (sunset) to quickly but not completely prepare His body
> for burial and bury it in the tomb in order to keep within the
> law!
JH> Absolutely. However, the assumption at that time, that the day began
JH> at "sunset" as apposed to the actual "going DOWN of the sun," was a
JH> recent institution. It was incorporated into the Talmud, by those
JH> who combined Mosaic Law with Chaldean mysteries. This time was
JH> changed by the sanhedrin for political and economic reasons, a lesson
JH> learned well by their Babylonish experience. The scripture told the
JH> truth about what the Judeans thought in those days was the actual
JH> start of the sabbath, but scripture nowhere condones, nor verifies the
JH> accuracy of of that time.
CH> Ge 1:5 And God called the light Day, and the darkness he
> called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first
> day. {And the evening...: Heb. And the evening was, and the
> morning was}
JH> Here is your answer. He did not call the evening and the morning the
JH> light and dark part of the day. YaHVaH called the "light" day, and
JH> the "Darkness" night. The completed day He called "evening and
JH> morning," (12 noon to 12 noon).
Absolutely no way my brother, could it be 12 noon to 12 noon,
for it is abundantly clear that "the evening" is from sunset to
morning and "the morning" is from morning to sunset, which is
clearly showing that a "day", a 24 hour period of night and day,
is indeed sunset to sunset, right? Please refer back to Strong's
again on even or evening and it will become clear to ya', ok?
May Yahweh truly bless you! Baruch Ha Shem.......clarence.......
