subject: A NEW REALITY?

Howdy fellow typists
I have rice, I need a guru ...
I was a happy little chappie - running Word6.
The garden of Eden was great.
Satan tempted me to add MS Internet Assistant - Wordia - so I did.
Some days later, working with a student on his thesis, I noticed ....
Given terms - Times New Roman, 12 Pt
Standard text displays & prints OK
Bold text displays & prints OK
Bold AND italicised text will display & print OK
Italicised _only_ text NOT OK
Italics were generated in a larger size and with a different font style.
This is observable on-screen and in print (on my setup anyway).
I use WFWG on a 486 / HP 560 printer - quite standard really.
Removing, de-installing, the Internet assistant brought Word6 back to its
standard, consistent anyway, behaviour. I did not check to see if earlier
generated documents carried the "blemish" whilst IA was in effect.
Have I uncovered a well known phenomenon? [ Yes/No/Maybe ]
Have I discovered an "undocumented feature"? [ Yes/No/Maybe ]
Is there a cure or a switch setting to implement? [ Yes/No/Maybe ]
I await (without) and gnash ...
