POLICES AND RULES OF THE FISHING ECHOMAIL CONFERENCE:
POLICIES:
The Fishing echo has been started for your enjoyment and as a place to
gather
communicate about the sport we love. The Fishing echo is a joint FIDO and
GT Network echo brought to you by the efforts of the Fishing echo moderators/
sponsors, the FIDO/GT gateway bridge operator, and the many system
operators who carry the Fishing echo on their Bulletin Board Systems. Please
treat this echo as such with pertinent information while being kind to each
other.
The Fishing Conference is distributed internationally on both the FIDO and
GT Networks. Use the Fishing echo in compliance with all applicable laws,
rules and policies and in adherence to generally acceptable standards of the
Fishing echo, the FIDO and GT Networks, generally accepted behavior for
computer/BBS communications, and the community.
Fishing can be defined in many different ways to many different people. To
some, it may be a pastime; a hobby; a sport; a job; a way of life; a way
to feed millions of people; a way to generate billions of dollars of revenue.
There are literally millions of companies who rely on the fishing industry
for their bread and butter. There are also many different kinds of
organizations dedicated to A) Promote fishing; as well as B) Do anything
they can to stop people from fishing. Sometimes fishing can be an issue
that is very sensitive to some from the type of fishing they do, to the
species
they like to fish for and to even the fishing club to which they belong.
This echo is a public forum which is read by thousands of people on every
continent in the world, please be careful and try not to offend anyone
when writing messages here. This is a small list of guidelines we should all
go
by when using this echo.
