Subject: Randolph-Sheppard Act 60th Anniversary
A previous communication alerted you to the planning underway for the 60th 
Anniversary Celebration in June. The celebration was contingent upon securing 
the attendance of the President or Vice-President. Unfortunately, neither 
will be able to attend.
Therefore, the celebration in Washington, D.C. has been canceled.
RSA will be distributing an Information Memo along with other documents 
(proclamation, and hopefully an Executive Order)
regarding this anniversary. These will be useful to SLA's,
consumer groups and others in marking the anniversary locally.
While we are disappointed, the process has been positive and fruitful. NCSAB, 
NFB Merchants, RSVA (all of whom pledged money for the event) and RSA 
continue to develop relationships to advance the Randolph-Sheppard Program. 
In addition, it is hoped that an Executive Order will be signed to further 
support our collective efforts.
