I have no operational argument with your idea, since I would agree a full
rules dosage every time a regular user hit the echo would be overkill. But
there are two levels of the file already available, the rules level that is
every time a user enters an area but also a description level that only
appears if the user is at zero in the message area.
I have at times used both - I put the full rules in the description file and
use one color token, and put a short blurb (like the first paragraph of the
rules) in another color with a "please remember this echo topic is......."
The order is because the description file displays first.
At other times, I left the short blurb as "rules" and put the full rules as a
menu option.
If I recall, I had problems trying to get the [notontoday] mecca token to do
what I wanted directly with rules or descript but it might have been the way
I did it a couple of years back and never took the time to bother fooling
with it again since I had two different ways of using this already.
Just sharing thoughts on this topic.......
