You CAN do that with OS/2. With Toronto Virtual File System. With that, your
CD-ROMs can be linked as directories on one virtual drive. And it's possible
to share that drive on your network. It's great.

You can also define read/write access for every directory on the drive. And
directories from your hard disks can be linked to your TVFS drives too.
