Not like that here. The city hasn't even replaced the street signs that
were blown away last September. In any case, we don't have those lines
here. Sometimes when the local LEOs need money, they'll check for proof of
insurance, speeding and motorists using the California stop at stop signs
-- something this city has an overabundance of. The ones that get me are
the 3-Way stop signs in the suburbs where there is only light traffic.

That's probably what got you into trouble. The last time I was stopped,
no, make it the time before that, I was tempted to say something, but it is
often wiser to keep your mouth shut because they aren't going to stop
writing. I haven't been pulled over in this parish yet. The last time was
in St. Tammany parish during an insurance check and the time before that
was in Jefferson parish when I was pulled over and ticketed for going
through a caution light while pulling my boat, which sat on a 21' trailer.
It was 4am. No way I could stop without blocking the non-existent traffic
at that time of the morning. It was an intersection with a median, so I
kept going. Towing that boat across the Huey P. Long bridge going to
Cocodrie (south of Houma) was an adventure.
