the toss flag is just a disk-based semaphore file... you can create the toss
flag when new mail arrives... then you have another process watch for the
semaphore file and toss the inbound mail when the semaphore exists exists...
don't forget to delete the semaphore when you start the tossing process...

#create the semaphore file
flag x:\\my\\semaphores\\mail-in.sem *.su? *.mo? *.tu? *.we? *.th? *.fr? *.sa?
*.pkt *.tic

OR you can just spawn the tossing process directly...

#execute the toss process directly
exec "nice -n 19 /home/myuser/fido/bin/hpt toss link"
/home/myuser/fido/inbound/secure/*.[STFWMstfwm][ouaherOUAHER][0-9A-Za-z]
*.[pP][kK][tT]

it all depends on what you want to do and how you want to do it...
