TR> I've seen many comparisons with Neighborhood Watch Programs.
TR> If there is a big burglary problem or some other problem that
TR> personally effects many of the citizens, you can organize a
TR> very strong group of citizens. These programs are difficult
TR> to start and maintain when the problems are not seen as
TR> threatening to large numbers of citizens living in the
TR> neighborhood. I guess this is just human nature, or it may
TR> have something to do with working two jobs or the husband and
TR> wife both working, etc. Most residential neighborhoods are
TR> vulnerable to burglars for this very reason.
One method would be organize meetings and present videos
and photos of neighborhoods where a gang HAS been
allowed to put down turf roots. I have seen these type of
areas and the photographs alone would present a convincing
argument in favor of CrimeWatch.
Just a thought.
