Yeah we have lost a lot of good workers to Fort Mac despite $10 per hour
raises all round. The $1 Billion Diavik Mine project has the rest of
them. It's really hard to get anything built or fixed around town these
days. Last year's home renos at my place stretched out from one month to
six, went $10,000 over budget and I went through 3 contractors, each one
worse than the last. I'm still looking for a guy to finish trimming the
living room and paint the new deck.
