As Wanda Guin communicated to Wendy Apgar's starship:
WG> As you are in mine. :) Don't worry about sending notes-
WG> I keep meaning to send some notes out to my friends, too! The stamps
 WG> are appreciated any time.

I try to stick something in for you each time too. By
now you may have received the latest packet for you.
WG> I have a lot of w/p books, so I will see about sending you some
WG> sheets. Don't worry about sending me sheets. You had some neat ones,
WG> but you need them more than I do. I just "play" with them.

Don't worry. The ones that I've sent on to you are ones
that I am not using or not going to use. I save the ones
that I want to use with my cards, for envelopes and for
misc borders and bookmarks. I think I am going to get some
contact paper and put it behind some of the sample strips
that are pretty...maybe add a few ribbons. It is an idea
anyway. So as I have money to mail them, I'll include them
when I have them. :-) Now, did that make sense?
 (hehehe)
WG> I think it's great to use up things, instead of spending more money
WG> on things before we need to.

Definitely. The more money I can save, the better.
WG> I made a "gingerbread man" with a grocery sack and cotton, and used
WG> some of your buttons for ...buttons, and eyes. He turned out cute,

WG> put him in a basket of pinecones and orange and lemon slices. It
 WG> all looks "Fall-ish".

Sounds cute. I've set aside some duplicate buttons that
I received from my friend in Australia that I don't want
to keep and can't use in my crafts. You get some, Emily
(who helps with housework) gets some, and my mom gets some
and I keep all the ones I don't want to give away! :-)
WG> Now Wendy, you *know* to listen to the first part! You have SO much
WG> value, and are such a friend to *many* people! Look at the fun you
WG> are giving the kids in your neighborhood, who are painting your car
WG> with butterflies. Don't you know they will always remember you, as
WG> the nice lady who let them be a part of their lives? You made THEM
WG> feel worthy and of value and good enough and talented to paint your
WG> car. I know you taught them things, while you were helping them.
WG> When they see your car out and about, they have pride that THEY had
 WG> a part in it!
It actually still surprises me how many people comment and
notice the car. I never thought of that initially...it was
simply something that I wanted to do.
Steve told me on Tuesday that my birthday was worth
celebrating when I told him I hate October. He said I was
worth celebrating. And he's right, I don't hate everything
about October...just the stuff with Halloween and related
things. It feels so much worse this year...so much more
evil...but that could have something to do with the
memories that are surfacing as well.
WG> I'm glad we are friends, too! I will be putting something in the mail
WG> to you (if I can get to the post office!) next week.

I understand the part about getting to the post office!
I have the same problem. Along with the money. I have
a couple boxes for Dee and a package for another friend
that I'm waiting to mail until I get some more money.
My web page is coming along. I've heard back from all
the stamp companies I wrote to except for 2.

WG> I am getting excited for Christmas, and I'm running things through my
WG> mind of what all to do. Is it too early to decorate?? :) I am
WG> getting the things ready for the exchanges!
I don't know what I'm going to do this year. In previous
years my friend Joni helped put everything up and Emily
helped put everything away. Joni moved away so I am
hoping that Emily will be able to help me put everything
up...like the lights...since I am unable to do so. I
love Christmas lights! And also, set out my nativity
set. I also want to buy a couple of ornament holders so
that I can hang and set out a few of my ornaments that
 I have. I don't have a tree...but I do have my nativity
set and a lot of angel ornaments that I hang around.
 :-)
