No, I think it is more because there seems to be more mature people at these
shows.  Some that have even figured out that this stuff is supposed to be 
un.
I never saw that at any of the local rated hunter jumper type shows.
At a rated show if you broke a stirrup leather for instance, the rest of them
would be happy because you would be out of the competition.  At one of these
driving shows if you broke a line or whatever you would have offers from
complete strangers to borrow one of their spares.  People actually 
congratulate
each other for doing well (and actually mean it too).
