Harder to get? More expensive? Why in the world would you want to
artificially jack up the price of ANY goods? Don't you think that
$600 to $1200 or more was expensive enough? All that "ban" BS did
was sell a record number of those weapons, because folks thought
that they would actually be banned; and they sold at *twice* the
original price! The language certainly could have been a lot better!
Here is how I would have worded it: "The right of the people to keep
and bear arms shall not be infringed".
Crazed people, ie: people that have been committed to mental 
institutions, have been prohibited from purchasing or posessing 
firearms for decades. They buy them from illegal dealers on the 
streets, not in FFL holders' shops. No difference in availability,
except that there is no background check on the street.

Folks defending their rights need assault weapons, buy them to protect
your right to own them. Let me (again) say that the "AW Ban" is no
such thing; it doesn't BAN anything, and it refers to weapons that
are not Assault Rifles, but ordinary *semi* automatics.

Not true. If "uncle sam" wanted to make it *clear* that it had taken
over, it wouldn't be with nuclear weapons, or stealth bombers; it 
would be with troops. These troops carry M16s as the primary weapon.
I believe that the current sidearm is the Beretta; we can own both.
They also have grenade launchers, but anyone with half a mind can 
build one (not that I would want to try). Your statements are
irrelevant, and you would be well advised to study the subject in
depth before trying to convince anyone here that the AW "ban" is
anything but BS! Take care, but take cover.
