So?  That does not negate my statement in the least.  It's probably 
because they know you and assume you are a fundy.

You seem to forget that I grew up on the East coast.  Not only that, 
but I'm older than you are and I'm sure I;ve had more first hand 
experience with those laws.  In fact, when I was a kid, most every 
business in town was closed on Sundays, including gas stations.  If 
you were going anywhere on Sunday, it better be within a tank full 
mileage range.
