Duke University just shut down UseNet Server #1. There's been /some/ good news on the UseNet front, though. Panic has recently released a nice newsreader, Unison, for Mac OS X. (I used Thunderbird when I was on the Operating System of the Damned, but the Mac OS X version of Thunderbird has some icky problems on the UseNet side, and I didn't need it for mail.) (I should add that I use Google Groups to post on rastb5m, because of a problem my ISP's server has with the moderation.) --- SBBSecho 2.12-Win32* Origin: Time Warp of the Future BBS - Home of League 10 (1:14/400) SEEN-BY: 3/0 633/267 640/954 712/0 313 550 848 @PATH: 14/400 261/38 712/848 633/267 |
