I too am now attending A.C.O.A.. I found that my Alcoholism is two fold. The 
genes that I inherited, and the "learned" process of living as a alcoholic 
from being raised in an alcoholic home. 
I quit drinking for 12 years on "Mike's" program and at the end of that time 
found I was looking up at the bottom I had quit at. This is the biggest 
difference today is that I know that I don't know!
I heard you have to change everything about yourself but your name. Well, 
dang the ones that said it cause their RIGHT!
Today, I'm doing things I never wanted to do. With people I never wanted 
anything to do with and I've never been happier in all my Life.
