For the one and only -- but recurring -- job Iin which use balanced columns, 
I stuffed the appropriate codes in a style. Which actually may cause at least 
part of the problems.
But the manually inserted breaks, which I used originally with WP5.1 for the 
job, have other problems when you use right-justified text (or whatever it is 
called).

I also tell 'em that two subsequent spaces _never_ should occur.
