I have a couple of CBs in the radio shack. I use one that is a HAM radio
that covers CB and it puts out 20 watts. I don't have it connected to an
antenna, but it is connected to an oil filled dummy load under the bench.
I talk to truckers who pass by here all the time. Some of them I can hear
for 5 miles down the road, some of them fade out after just a few hundred
yards. I know they can still hear me, since I can talk to those guys that
are 5 miles away.
