TS>> As I said, _ANY_ car without good tyres and working brakes is a death
TS>> trap.
PE>> Any time you get out from under your bed and venture outside,
PE>> you decide that the risk of losing your life is not as great
PE>> as the convenience you get of being able to go to movies etc.
RG>> Risking your own life is one thing. Risking
RG>> the lives of others is a whole new ballgame.
RS> Pity you risk the lives of others every time you go
RS> out on the road Rod. Just like everyone else does.
This is just so true, Rod. When are you going to wake up to yourself, and
stop being a hypocrite, and GET OFF THE FUCKING ROAD! Don't think that it
is acceptable risk, risking MY life. Just FUCK OFF. I'm telling you, the
risk that YOU take, on MY behalf is not acceptable to ME. So fuck off if
you have any consideration for other people. And if you don't have any
consideration for other people, come clean and admit that you're a fucking
hypocrite of the worst holier-than-thou kind.
RS> You even do when you use public transport, coz your use of that public
RS> transport usually does mean that there are more public transport vehicles
RS> moving around overall, and people do sometimes end up dead because they do.
Yep.
RG>> As a bike rider, my greatest fear isn't when I'm riding,
RG>> but when I'm stopped at traffic lights and there's a
RG>> car behind me. This is when I'm most vulnerable.
RS> Sure, but if you are silly enough to radically increase the risk
RS> to your life by choosing to use a bike, thats the choice you make.
Yep.
RS> We aint about to do anything special cars wise just so you can get
RS> the same level of risk to you life you would have in a decent car.
Yep.
RG>> but I've been rammed this way while I've
RG>> been in a car on 3 different occasions.
RS> Pity you havent actually established that it was BRAKE FAILURE that did
RS> that.
Poor old Rod G.
RS> Thats life, or possible death in your case. Your choice.
Poor old Rod G. Flouting his hypocrisy for all to see. Admittedly the
only people to see are mainly flagrant hypocrites themselves, but
nevermind. Why are people so illogical? This is basically the same
situation as when I was telling the teacher and the class that the number
of trees in Fiji was not infinite. Even the number of atoms in the entire
world is not infinite. But oh no, I was the joke of the class. At least
here I'm not completely alone in having the mental horsepower to calculate
simple probabilities. Shit, if they can't even manage the simple
probabilities, who do we have running our technical industries? BFN.
Paul.
