MR> MR>and it won't even loosen a screw. What's the point? I'm going to use it MR> MR>with a pin chuck to make tiny holes since it turns about 300 rpm. MR> JE> I thought the "chuck" was the part into which one inserted MR> JE> bits, (pin) etc. NOT the bit (pin). VBG MR>A "PIN CHUCK" is a smaller chuck with a 1/4" shank which fits into a MR>typical 1/2" or 3/8" chuck as an adaptor for bits smaller than about MR>1/16". A pin chuck could be used to drill circuit board holes for MR>resistors, transistors, IC's, etc. The standard chucks on my 1/4" drills will handle bits even smaller than 1/16".
