[ "fora" and "vice versa", incidentally. ]
I have to say that I am interested in both C and C++, inasmuch as there are
many C language and library features that are shared by the C++ language.
Equally, there are many programmers who don't know which of C or C++ they are
actually using, who will also be interested in both. Indeed, it seems to me
that most C or C++ programmers program in a language that, for want of a
better term, should be called "C+". They write C programs, and use a C++
compiler for its convenience features, such as type-safe linkage,
declarations at any point within a block, dynamic initialisation, and so
forth.
However, this is not, I think, an argument for merging the echoes. It is,
more properly, an argument for people to participate in both if they need to.
