BK :>Wellllll CJ just laid herself up for at least a couple of
BK :>weeks.. :(
BK :>
BK :>Was just starting her to go the other way on a lungeline
BK :>and when she crossed the lungeline she caught a leg.. she
BK :>was a tad high (haven't been able to get her out in 2
BK :>days).. so she paniced.. and started backing FAST!
BK :>
Oh, jees! One of the reasons I don't do this "turn on the lungeline" thing.
I always teach my horses to stop and stand and then I go up to them and
"manually" turn them. I have this fear of just what happened to CJ, and the
fear that I'm going to get hurt as well.
BK :>Well when the lungeline ran out.. it whipped the little
BK :>metal clip around and smacked her in the joint just about
BK :>the fetlock. Superficial cut.. but in a bad place.. she's
BK :>got her left rear wrapped in a leg wrap with furicine (per
BK :>the vets instructions). Have to leave it like that and
BK :>change it every day till it granulates over. :/
Nasty!
Hope she's on the mend.
Meg
