Well, I'm close, the birch bullets I loaded up in the .40 tend not to
stabilize too well, I can barely keep them on the paper at 7 yards, so i
need to figure out some way of getting them a little more stable so I
don't accidently take out the chronograph. I might just have to move the
chrony up closer.
The birch bullets weigh in at 12grains, the superlight copper jacketed
thermoplastic rounds mass in at about 37 grains. I don't know, but I'm
guessing they are coming out at a good 3000fps from a 4" _pistol_ barrel.
I can't wait to make loads like this for the 6" .357 revolver barrel. So
far I've got 22 grains of VV N110 under a 90gr .355" JHP, which I'm
hoping will exit at around 2000 fps. I'm planning on next sunday for the
chrono trip. Wish me good velocity. :-)
þ SLMR 2.0 þ Pneumatic Fluid, a gallon of jetwash and 4 muzzle blasts.
