Hill backs Hakkinen

(29-Oct-98) - Damon Hill believes Mika Hakkinen will triumph over Michael
Schumacher in this weekend's championship decider at Suzuka.

The former world champion believes his old adversary has a mountain to
climb if he is to clinch the championship: "It is going to be a tall
order for Michael to beat Mika." Said Hill.

The Jordan driver also feels that Suzuka will suit Hakkinen better than
Schumacher: "Michael could not have picked a worse circuit than Suzuka
because it is a track Mika loves."

He also believes his own team will be competitive in Japan, a race that
could conceivably see Jordan leap from fifth to third in the constructors'
championship: "We should go there with the aim of winning the
race."

"Jordan have finished fifth in the championship in the last few years,
but if we could get third it would be a real boost to the team and set us
up for next year."
